Brief Overview of NGO Darpan Registration in India
NGO Darpan is an online platform that connects Voluntary Organizations (VOs) and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) with key ministries, departments, and government bodies. It is a free service initiated by NITI Aayog in collaboration with the National Informatics Centre (NIC) to enhance transparency and accountability in the NGO sector.
During challenging times, especially in crises like the pandemic, NGOs have played a crucial role in providing meals, basic facilities, and essential aid to those in need. Their funding sources primarily include donations and government grants.
To access government funding, schemes, and grants, NGOs must register on the NGO Darpan portal. This ensures that they stay informed about various beneficiary programs and funding opportunities provided by the government.

Registering on the NGO Darpan portal offers several advantages, including:
- Access to Government Grants – NGOs must be registered on this platform to apply for and receive government funding.
